Well, I can totally appreciate all the effort going into figuring out the conversions, but I don't care at all for the look of the 750 Seca without the cluster nor the round light.

As far as the '85 cluster....... You ARE aware that cluster is for a Maxim X, right? Also, for all the trouble, why don't you make sure to use gauges that are not faded out?

Yes, I put the 85 X forks and instruments on the 82. Yeah faded, but it's what i have. It took awhile to realize I wouldn't need the temp gauge. Maybe I'll put a clock in there. Hogfiddles, I messaged you about your shim pool.
    Thanks

Great job on the bike mate I'm going for the same look did you find any engine problems when you disconnected the atari I tried to do the same thing defiantly not as well as you but if the atari wasn't connected the engine wouldn't run right. Is there something that needs to be bypassed?

You swapped the brake and taillight wires around.

Did you jumper G/Y to Y/W on the 6-pin connector? That's the brake light circuit. B-B (same connector) is for the headlight.

    Hmmm......
Is there evidence of wiring modifications that were "gifted" to you by a previous owner?
I think it's time for you to start a thread for your bike if you haven't already, so we don't clutter this thread up.

That picture of the wires you changed, is that the ONLY wires you needed to alter?

All the wiring changes are covered in his first post. If you've done that, and are sill having problems, then something else is wrong. Please start a thread if you have not already.

Awesome, I am in the middle of fixing a barn find and I think the info here will guide me well. I have a few questions and since this is an older post not sure if I’ll get an answer but here goes. Could I just use pin connectors to tap into the harness instead of making any cuts? I wasn’t sure.

Sorry to dredge up ancient artifacts from threads gone by but anyone know why the pictures from earlier posts here wont display anymore? They worked for me a few weeks ago. Doing the Atari delete and would like to reference some of those photos.

    Thanks!
