So I grenaded my clutch yesterday and I wanted to know how deep i'm going to have to go to fix it. I bought a complete clutch assembly since both parts of the clutch basket are destroyed. Will I have to split the cases to replace the whole clutch basket or is there a way for me to do it on the bike?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'll post some pictures of the damage in a reply.

You don't have to split the cases to replace the clutch.

Okay but what about the part of the basket that's in the first picture? I have no idea how to get that out.

That big washer is in the wrong place. It should be behind the clutch basket. Take the washer off and there is a big nut behind it. That needs removed and you will need a tool to lock the basket while slackening the nut.

Yes I took that but off and that allowed me to remove the inner basket. (Sitting on the ground in my second picture) the other part of the basket that's attached to that large gear is what I also need to replace.

Behind that large washer is a bearing.

Update. I can't get my transmission to spin at all so I think my problems got a lot bigger.

I've never split the cases before but it looks like I'm going to learn how.
