Hi guys, new Seca Turbo owner here. I recently picked up an '82 from the original owner about a week ago and have started teardown as its been sitting for years. The seat cover and foam are in really bad shape.

Any idea on what seats from other models would be compatible with the turbo model? Or is it just recover the existing seat or custom only? I think a solo seat would be interesting...Gimbel makes one for the Seca II

@chacal has the correct seat covers, and I believe he has foam as well. Start a conversation with him.
Any solo seat would have to be a custom job.

That's what I figured, was hoping something would bolt on since it shares some things with other bikes. Good thing I work at a body shop I suppose! Time to learn to fiberglass

My seats always "bolt right up" just after I make new mounts. Do you have access to a welder? Perhaps a friend or a shop?

I do have access to a welder, but I'm not very good with one. Started disassembly on my seat and the pan is pretty rusted out so I may have to get a whole new unit anyways.
