I have two questions about this:

    1. Is it possible to braze or weld the aluminum, JB Weld, etc....

    2. I think I found a used carb body on E Bay. This is carb #3 from left to right. How different is each carb body? I assume the two interior ones are identical, please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can tig weld them - but I don't think I would be able to. Having said that, you have nothing to lose. Needs some jigging to hold it in place, remove float valve, gasket, throttle shaft seals?

The inner two carb vodies are identical.
The square float towers are a bit harder to repair than the round ones.
The easy path is to get a spare body, but keep that one for later repair.

I think for $42 I might just buy the carb body...

    Thanks so much!

You can drill a ,a hole in the post and ,the body I have fixed a set of carbs with one body that was broke with JB weld ...you have to have area spotless and let it set up at least 24 hours . Repair was still good after 2 years , but this was on another bike , since I sold it not sure what happened to it.

Drill the hole and put a pin in it or something or to give the JB Weld more grip?

The pin is to keep the two halves of the post aligned while the epoxy cures, and to reinforce the joint against lateral movement.

I'll generally use a length of stiff wire.

Sweet! That would save me having to break the rack. I do have a carb body coming but i can run it for the season, then as a winter project I'll adjust the valves and break into the full carb rebuild. I can switch carb bodies if necessary then!

Thanks all! Love how helpful you all are! Too bad we didn't have this last time I had a Seca (sold it in 1999).
