upload_2020-11-2_15-23-5.jpeg upload_2020-11-2_15-22-51.jpeg carb #2 pickup tube doesn’t have the small hole at the bottom, or top depending on how your looking at it. I’m new to this and just curious if this is normal. Carbs 1,3,4 all have the small hole.

My XJ650J has a hole in all 4. Not in the same spot. Look all around the tube. It may be plugged?

Your tube without the hole looks smashed at the other end. Measure the length of them. Are they all the same?

Yea i noticed the ding when i loaded the pic. Not sure if they’re all the same length. I’ll measure tomorrow. Was just curious if they’re all supposed to have the hole at the bottom.

The smashed tube is not perpendicular to the body and looks shorter. Possible the hole is driven into the carb body.

Great. I’m assuming I’ll have to replace the whole carb then

    Never assume.
The important detail is if the jet in the float bowl is plugged or not. That's the enrichment circuit, and it only comes into play during a cold-start. The hole you're pointing out really dosen't matter. The float bowl blocks it off.

Yes i cleaned out the float bowl jet as instructed in one of the write ups. Is there a way to fix the enrichment circuit or can i leave it as is?
