wanted: front fork and caliper XJ550

Hello. I'm spanish, excuse my poor english.

I'm lokking the front fork and the two caliper of the XJ550. (The model have two disc brakes. In Europe the model is 4V8 but in EEUU I don't know)

Here in America, The xj550 only came with a single disk brake. You lucky Europeans had twin disks. I doubt you will find what you are looking for in the US, although I have seen one Euro spec XJ550 for sale here.

If you find a spare left side fork tube over there, let me know. I'd like a twin disk setup on my 81 xj550!

I think that you are wrong.

There are two models; XJ550K with two disc brakes and the XJ550RK with only one disc

The k had only a single disk here. It was on the left side instead of on the right like the rk.

650 front end will swap over. I have a twin disk front end on my XJ550RH that I got from a 650.

Only some 550's came from the factory with tin disc setup. It is not consistent among models or even countries it as manufactured for.

As far as I know, standard twin disc setup is very rare.

 

But the 650 have 36mm of diametre no?? and the 550 have 35mm no??

 

Untill I joined this site I hadn't seen a single disc XJ550, all NZ and Australian models are twin discs, the American model XJ550 also have different wheels
