Ok.....I may just be stupid, but I'm going to ask anyways.

I put my bike (83 maxim 650) away at the end of December. Took her for one last good ride before I did, checked the oil beforehand and it was fine. Came home, put her away.

Now, hardly more than a month later, I figured I'd go start the bike up for s**ts and giggles....just to hear the engine going for a bit. You know how it is. Anyway, I ran it for a minute, turned it off and figured I may as well take a peak at the oil through the site window. Well, there's NOTHING in it! I find it a little wierd seeing as it was fine at the end of december and there's no way it has leaked ALL the oil in a month. Especially considering there aren't any drips under the bike.

Any idea where it may have gone?

It's in the head, the back of the motor, slung all over the place.
    what is it--16 in Vancouver?
It was 78 today before I rode 80 miles for no reason, except that I finally got my carbs working right!!!

    Check it again--and you can't say $#!T here !!

Check it again. Sure, some oil gets trapped but A month of storage/inactivity will get a lot of it to drip back down into the sump.
    Gravity is unrelenting.
Likely you burned a bunch on your last ride as well.
