It is nearby to me so if someone here is interested I can go look at it. If you want it you have to make your own deal with the seller. Depending on where you are I might be able to help with delivery. Anybody out there got a titled frame they want to build up?
I am not interested 'cause I have 3 XJ750's in line to get road worthy and find new homes.

And another xj550. This guy is convinced it’s an xj1100. He’s only about 20 mi from me..... I texted him to try and help him out, but he’s convinced it’s an 1100. Oh well, he’ll have to deal with an unhappy buyer when the buyer finds out.

I really got a good laugh out of the “I know my bike”, the “so until you come and see it, don’t tell me what you think yo know about my bike’, and the “I’m not gunna sit here and argue” lines

I think I was very objective and well-restrained to not make a smart-@$$ reply to any of those lines. It was hard not to, though! I was not able to restrain myself from laughing uncontrollably, though. Lol

he probaly took the 2 550 emblems and added them up to get 1100 .
I make that mistake all the time.

 

hogfiddles, you have it one hell of a try there. Some people think what they want to think and that is it. You can't help people if the glass is already full. Again, great try.

My assumption is a virago, but it could be anything...... but he never sent me any of the pics he said he would send, never contacted me to actually go look at it, so I could point out things or ask.

regardless, I just wanted to help him get his bike listed correctly In order to hopefully help him get a better sale. But, since he want to believe what he wants— he can be ignorant of what it really is— and if it does sell, then it’s his problem if a new owner gets really mad and comes back at him for it.

Well, according to the numbers cast on my crankcases, I have 2500cc and 2800cc bikes.
But they're only five speeders, so I think one must have fallen out somewhere.

 

just need a sharpie to fix that . carfully write in the number 6 this will replace the missing gear. you can mod it a bit if you want and add a 7 this will add another gear and improve your top end
