    Hi folks,

I've got Dunlops currently. D404 rear and GT501F (Arrowmax) on the front. I found them to be very useless in the rain. Looking for something a lot better.

The Michelins seem to be quite well rated, both for wet traction and also for longevity. Wondering what experiences others might have had with them.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Well, I'll let you know.

I found some good reviews comparing the Michelins favorably to the Metzelers and BT45s... nothing specific to XJs, though, but they seem to be pretty good tires regardless. Ordered them from Dennis Kirk. Should have them next week.

Used several sets on my XJ900 . Really like them good in all weathers and what I particulally like is that the rear keeps its shape really well doesn't flatten off like say Metzelers .
I am going to try the new Michelin road classics next

I have replaced both my sets of tyres on 2 bikes (XJ750P) with Bridgestone Battleaxe tyres.
Had Metzler on both previously and they were basically shite in comparison.
Yes, Metzler has a down vote from me.
The bridgestone tyres are... okay don't make me say it... awesome in comparison.

Okay, I'm too old for that word nowadays but I used the Battleaxe on my GS750 and my GS1000G back on the day and damn it was a good tyre.
And yes I wish I still had my GS1000G.
