    Congrats! It looks to be complete and mostly original. We didn't get very many of them so I have little info to compare against but it looks good to me.

    NA only got the 850. The 900 had a lot of improvements, even though the 850 was a very good machine.

    It's a real shame that the public didn't realize that's the sort of bike they wanted until 20 years later. Maybe NA would have gotten the whole series instead of having to wait for the Tracer.

    Today finally could make a first ride on the TDM. Did some 80 km on small/bad roads and dikes and very good highway.
    That surely is something different than my SecaRat/Seca.
    One thing's for sure; different forksprings and thicker oil. Oh and some risers to highten the steer with 2 cm.
    Bike came with original yamaha luggageset by Givi which is sturdy but wide. A lot of room though!
    The bike has many paintscuffles due to bad transport but I don't mind because will also subject this bike to
    our whishes like the Seca and Swamp.
    A survivalTDM it will become with wrapping and stuff.

    It's been a month now with the TDM and what happened;
    made some items army/olivedrab-green
    gripheaters
    handlebar-risers which also come in extra
    frontforksprings (hagon) and thicker oil (5w30 synth.)
    readjusted the rear and front-dampening in and out.
    This made a huge difference in controlling the bike during cornering, braking etc

    To continue;
    handshielding homemade
    extra fusebox+relais and powerlines for the acc.
    USB-connection
    airfilter change, was really dirty

    Next to happen;
    crashbars to be installed
    foglights to be installed
    front-fenderextender to be installed
    LED headlights to be installed
    dual headlight-unit soon to be ordered.

    This is a totally different bike in regard with the xj 750 seca.
    I really have to get used to this bike regarding torque, sound, reaktions with braking (wow those brakes are really something else!) because the chain and injection and motorbrake is WAY different.
    Vibrations and low-rpm on-off reaktions are.. weird..lol Did the modification to the airbox but still is not as smooth as the Seca.
    Handling due to the wide tires is also something to get used to. I used to let the XJbike fall in to the corners and compensate, a bit like Marquez did..lol, but sofar with the TDM.. noway.
    Now with the raised handlebars and stiffer suspension it's getting there.
    Still some minor adjustments to do and it will be fine.
    Though the TDM is 30 kg lighter... it sure doesn't feel that way.
    Comfort is WAY up, also my complaints about short bumps on the XJ, are gone.
    The front end is so much better in regard to the XJ it's almost criminal..lol
    Still miss the supersmooth, turbinesounding and quickhandling SecaRat though....
