In that one shot where you can read the Speedo indicating 290 Kmh ... that means he had that bike wound-out to 180 Mph.

I did 128 Mph one time on the 900 ... and when I slowed-down to 70 I thought I could get-off and walk along side the bike.

yeah, I would never go that fast on a road with that kind of traffic. But then I am probably older than that guy in the video. When you are in your teens and 20s you think you will live forever haha. I have been up to 90 on my Maxim on a wide open road once but it was kinda scarey. If I want to go that fast or faster I'll do it in an airplane ... away from lots of other moving vehicles.

I don't feel on bit sorry for people who ride like that. Passing on a double yellow line, around a curve is asking for it. It's not only stupid, it's illegal. A person like that should not be able to carry a motorcycle endorsment and it just gives normal riders a bad name.

I wholeheartedly agree. Nevermind the obvious risk of collision, what about the drivers that aren't expecting a motorcycle to race past them at 150mph, squeezing between them and oncoming traffic? How many people have been startled into swerving when this dewshbague flew past them out of nowhere?

I sure hope Darwin catches up with this tool...

I had the same feeling once... I low sided at about 60mph (I was slowing down from considerably more than 60mph)... and time slowed down to a crawl. At one point I thought I had stopped, put a foot down to stand up - and promptly flipped head over heal. Next time I waited until I was sure I had stopped.

Funny - once you go fast, even fast seems slow. :-/

No more for me - thanks ;)

If I owned a bike with that kind of capability and the safety gear that goes with it, I would be finding the nearest track and getting it out of my system, without guard rails and oncoming traffic.

Idiots riding like that are the reason that people disregard us on our XJ's and turn into our lanes without concern for our safety. As riders of anything that doesn't look or sound like it's ridden by a large, long haired, mass murderer, we get lumped into a class with guys like in the video.

Courage and ability should not be confused with arrogance and stupidity!

Yep, Traffic is far too heavy for that stuff.

This vid shows similar stuff in better conditions, but shows how easy it could go wrong. Close Call
