xj650 Maxim Horn button

    Hi all,
    Is there a replacement procedure for these? I have it apart but getting the little metal box together with the spring and button inside is WAY more fiddly than I thought. I would rather not desolder the hot wire if at all possible as that seems even more of a pain. Or should I just purchase a new switch assy? Suggestions are welcome.

    Replaced the horn button on my XJ650 (UK) yesterday. To get better access to the little metal box which has the spring and button inside, I removed the indicator switch plate and the earth/cable clamp from the lower half of the switch. This gave sufficient free play in the wire to the horn button box to allow replacement of the spring and button. No wires needed to be unsoldered or removed.
