I can definitely say for my case that rebuilding the clutch was transformational. The launch from 1st, smooth power on pulls and downshifting were all greatly improved. So I am going with Minmutly here and saying if you are working on a bike that was stored for a long period, the clutch is a must do. THANKS to bigfitz52 clutch 101 article in the diy section, it made the job easy.

Took the bike out for 100km of riding this evening, it's running perfect! I have a few items left to do. New tires just arrived fron Amazon, I went with Dunlop 404's. I also have a set of crash guards and rear shocks from chacal to put on. I'll post a photo when it's all done.

In the meantime, I'll be out riding. Thanks to everyone on the site for the help!

    Bob
