I am having troubles with my 1997 yamaha SECA 2 XJ600 front fork suspension. When im riding it feels like a jackhammer at times. The suspension jumps up and down. I have rebuilt the forks with new fork seals and 20 weight fork oil. I have loosened everything on the triple trees and front axle and jumped up and down on it to see if that will help. The tire looked a little bit crooked. I have changed rims and tires. When I first changed the rim and tire it seemed like it helped and then it started again. I was thinking about removing the top spring spacers.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thx

Most forks have bushings that are what keeps the upper tube in alignment with the lower. If these bushings are worn it will allow the upper and lower tubes to have a stutter in thier motion. giving you the so called "jackhammer" sensation.

While Im not familiar with your peticular forks, most do have these bushings, and most are replaceable....

Are these the bushings on the inner tubes? The chrome portion of the shock?

20w fork oil is too heavy. You should use 10w.
