Does anyone have or know where to get a replacement starter (or horn)button for XJ550? I just need the small black plastic button (it's the same as the horn button.) After almost 30 years the plastic retaining ridge cracked and when I started her up, shot the button at me like a small missile!

I feel like a broken record, but try mikesxs.com. These parts are marketed for the xs 650 twins, but many are universal,as I believe the starter switch to be. Mikes part # 24-6525,6 bucks plus shipping. If that is too steep,I have one on a parts bike that you can have for free...just have to melt the ice off it first,as the bike is outside, and we got some nasty weather here in Union Springs, NY. Where are you located in NY?

You are more than welcome! The offer still stands,if you want it.Keep in mind that unlees you order $50 from or more from mikesxs, you'll be charged shipping. As far as the button working for your 550,I have found that many different brands and models of bikes share the same button...it's pretty generic.
