Ok so I have searched and searched on this subject. My starter isnt starting the bike. It wont even try and turn over it just clicks. I can still push start my bike and have it run just fine. I have tried a different starter and solenoid and I have a brand new (charged) battery. I am thinking it might be the Start Circuit Cut-Off Relay. And I looked to see how much I could get a genuine yamaha part for and it was over 60 bucks! Is there any way I can get one for cheaper? Even if it isnt genuine. I just need anything that will make it so I can start my bike without having to push it.

I can't help regarding this, but I just want to say that this is a prime example of why they should never have removed kick starters from bikes.

Hey I sent you a PM. Im also wondering if there is some kind of fuse that will work (not the same but will work) for what I need at a local auto shop or something.

What clicks? If the starter circuit cut off relay is shutting you down the starter solenoid shouldn't click.

If the starter solenoid goes click your problem is either:

    1) starter solenoid
    2) starter

    or

    3) wiring

I'd grab a multimeter and do some diagnosis before ordering parts.

Gamuru has written an excellent tutorial for checking the starter circuit. LINK

Its gotta be the wiring then. Because I know it isnt the starter or the solenoid. And the solenoid does click so I guess it isnt the Relay. I dont know where I would get the wiring to rewire any of it so I may just take it in somewhere.

All the wire can be got at the local auto parts store. So can a multimeter if you need one.

You can pay someone at the dealer a couple hundred $ to do it or you can pop 20 for a multimeter and follow the instructions I referred you to.
