I an not a fan of overboring to the extreme on XJ11. Thats the biggest you can do it. I did my XS11 with .5mm over size.

These are really nice pistons, I was impressed with the quality. You also don't need a special head gasket , you do if you go 74mm .

I have used the CruzinInage pistons on another project and I can say you get what you pay for. Not bad but not great either.

Was performance lost with the crusin? I am just looking for options to keep my engine alive. Not looking to boost power.

Preformance was the same. Problem was the piston was not the right size. I had to hone the to get them to fit right and the rings are very fragile. I broke some trying to get them on the piston. Even used a piston ring tool to expand and they snapped.

That doesn't sound great at all.
I found a wiseco on ebay for $173 https://www.ebay.com/itm/3342610373...198923&hash=item4dd382a8ff:g:qDQAAOSwlFVhv7os do you think this would be a good one to get for a rebuild? I just don't want to end up with a worse engine.

Those will work but I don't see a head gasket included in the kit. The 74mm bore requires a special head gasket, the standard wont work.

Yea that was my concern. I can find 1196cc head gaskets. Do you think that would work?

Good compression and not to many miles it should be OK. Why why are you wanting to replace the pistons?
I did mine because low compression and pitted cylinder walls. runs great now.

Well, they seem to be getting rarer, and there just isn't any modern day bike like it. I want to at least have one if the need ever arises. I am probably going to send it on the kit.

I know you concerns about parts. I have several parts bikes and many bins of spares.

I am a bit worried about the compression, I'll probably pick that kit up you linked. the 0.5 just to have. The manual says it should be about 142psi but I have 125,127,125,125. Since they're all pretty close I am hoping it's valve timing or clearance.
