    Hi all, i have my 1982 Xj750j Maxim with the square bars, im wondering if i can use round handlebars from a 650 or other maxims before i go and buy aftermarket, if youve done it please let me know! Thank you!!

    Grab an upper triple tree from a 83 xj750. It has the standard 7/8 round bars. I just picked these up the other day for cheap off eBay.

    I think the upper clamp is the same as the xj650 maxim

    the bar set up is removable and you can install some risers for 7/8 " bars.
    you wont have to change the upper clamp
