    Hi All,

Every time I put my XJ 900 diversion on the side stand I am alarmed at the angle of lean.
Am I alone? Is it secure? Anyone done any modification?

    Many thanks.

    Pete

has the rear shock been altered at all, or the linkage,?
    is the stand itself bent?

    haha.. damn funny.
    But seriously.
Check that the sidestand mount hasn't cracked off the frame.

This definitely happened on one of my bikes

This is a really good point! I recall one forum member who's frame had rusted internally in that area and the side stand mount was barely hanging on! Very much worth checking frame integrity!

This is also handy to have when parking on hot asphalt...I usually use the center stand, but have even had that sink until the wheels touch the pavement.
