I'm looking to get a 650 Seca seat cowling printed up for my extra seat pan. Before I try to build the STL file, I thought I'd reach out to see if anyone knows of any resources for 3D printing files for parts for parts for our XJ line? I've looked at Thingiverse and GrabCAD, but they don't really have much.

    Hi @kosel

    Take a look here: https://www.xjbikes.com/forums/threads/3d-scanning-side-covers.130648/

I'm a big advocate of getting CAD files for all the parts we can, but I have no skills.

@Nick S is working on an XJ650 right side cover, that's kind of the beginning of what I hope to be more efforts to get these things digitized.

I've done some looking around for having it done "professionally", and would still be open to participating in some sort of crowdfunded project to get things scanned with the big money equipment.

Where abouts are you in Minneapolis?

I'm in Fridley with a shop at Ohana Motorsports in Eden Prairie. I've no 3D printing skills or experience, but another Ohana member is scanning in my 650 Seca seat cowling and we'll see how that goes.

Cool. I'd like to check out Ohana. I think I could make use of some of that equipment...
