Okay, not really a "technical" question more of a "how to", but I have new aftermarket replacement rubbers for my 650 Seca.
Haven't taken a really good look at them yet as I bought them a couple years ago along with a whole slew of parts to bring my bike back to life, it's been mothballed for about 23 yrs.
How are the rubbers secured to the metal part of the pegs?
I remember (don't have them in front of me to look at) there being a couple of holes on the bottom of the metal insert molded into the rubber.
Drill those out and slide them off then, plug weld the new ones in place?
Searched all over the internet no luck.

Remove the split pin & then withdraw the large retaining pin, this will separate the foot peg from the holder. Then pull the rubber off the internal steel shaft.

Just looked at those pics, those are the passenger pegs, I was asking about the rider's
    (operator's) pegs, but thank you.

They should have the same split-pin connection

To get the old ones off: slit the rubber along the somewhere along the long axis with a razor knife, etc.

To put the new ones old: use some silicone lube or dish soap, etc. on the shaft or on the inside of the rubber pads, and pound them on. They are retained by friction.

    Wow,
    That's it?
You'd think a guy could find some info on YouTube or something, I mean they sell them all over the internet..., but not one write up!
    Thank you!
    Hans
    PS
How does one go about ordering parts from you guys?
Your catalog is very thorough, but hard to navigate.

I've drawn red arrows to the folded lip which holds the rubbers on.

handle bar grips are the same way for instalation friction holds them in place and soap gets them on.

    Ah,
    Makes sense now.
Should I use any kind of adhesive, like hair spray or something?

I've just pushed them on until that angled lip on the retaining plate is seated into it's groove.
You can push them on but you can't pull them off, as you've found out.
