I'm no expert but I believe a t3 would be too large to get any sort of effective power from it (spool-up time)

I think a smaller turbo, like those used in VW TDI's or old school volvos would work better.

Low 1-5-0 is correct. You'd have to lower your compression ratio if you dont want to detonate your engine at any respectable amount of boost. I believe you'd need an oil-cooler system hooked up (Do maxims come with them stock?) with all that extra heat... A wastegate wouldnt be a bad idea. You'd need to ensure that theres enough fuel being delivered along with all that extra air being shoved in there. You'd need some sort of oil delivery system.

But I think the big question on my mind is, WHY? They make bigger engines that fit on the frames Why not do that?... With the driveshaft you're limited on your top-speed so its not like you can throw on a bigger gear. Fuel efficiency really doesn't suck that much even with a larger engine (its not like a 454 being dropped in). If the answer is "Why not", I'd say you've got quite a fun sounding little project. Best of luck.

I'd say for the kind of bragging rights and 'mad power' your looking for it'd be more effective to install a nitrous kit... i know there is alot of bad rap about them melting your engines and such but if done correctly they can be the easiest way to gain a ton of horsepower for your buck... PM me if your interested, i've been doing a ton of research on the matter and have come up with some good resources.
