I thought this may be a bit of fun for the Christmas season.

We all know what they are called when they break down or bits break off (those words are universal)! :p

So....When your bike is going well, you are feeling good and the sun is on your back what is the name you give your ride.

I did a baby name search and came up with Xirena Jumanah... translated it's alluring silver pearl which I thought was appropriate and corny!

I'm not creative, besides, I like others to have a clue what I am talking about. So my bike's name is simple, it's more in how it is said

    Secaaaaaa.....

(hold the "a" for at least 2 seconds while trailing off)

If I owned more than one motorcycle, I might give more thought to creative names for them, although I'm generally not in the habit of naming inantimate objects as if they were pets.
But, since I just have one bike, I'm content to simply refer to it as........

    THE BIKE!

I don't care to put any more effort into it than that, thanks anyway. :p

Since it only has 3800 miles on her, and it's black: I call my 81 Maxim "Black Diamond".

I figured it was most fitting, considering it's condition.

I don't name my guitars or bikes. But I do call my Maxim my "Trailer Park Custom".

It sums up where I came from rather nicely and I think it's appropriate for the changes I made to the bike.

    Anybody want to buy it?

I never adopted the practice of naming cars and bikes.
Currently my bikes are called New Bike and Old Bike.
I usually do all the work on my cars and bikes so more than not i end up calling the machine in question...

    I've always named my cars.

First bike. Havn't officially named it yet because I might paint it, but "Pale Horse." Strikes well with me, seeing that its white.

My 650 I named "Black Diamond". (as seen below)

The 750, however, has not yet been named. I'll most likely name her after I get her back on the road (under her own power).

Pale horse might not be the best name for a bike, seeing as the quote is "I looked and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named death, and Hades followed close behind him".
Personally, I would choose a different name. 8O

mine is called Bruce, because he is black like Batman.... I know technically it was Robin who rode the motorbike but i thought it would look a bit weird if you turn to someone and said

"can you remember where I left my Dick??" (Dick Grason being 'Robins' real name)

    Bruce is more appropriate :D

Well, I haven't ridden mine much, (still waiting for funds to ge the tags), but since Adult Swim was talked about I have thought of a name for my bike. I was just going to call her Seca, but someone said they already call theirs Seca (could still call mine that though), so I thought of another name. If there are any Shin Chan fans here, you're bound to remember "Hottie Nanako". I think I'll call my 650 Hottie Nanako. I mean....it IS Japanese and it is very HOT compared to my last bike.
    What do you guys think?

My Seca started out as "The Garbage Bike" because I got it from someone wanting to throw it away. Then it became "The Neverending Project in the Workshop" as I became busy with other projects. Now it is on the verge of being renamed "The Money Pit" as various issues have cropped up during the restoration. Once it's back on the road for certain, I think I'll call it "Dimsdale" to go along with my MINI Cooper S "Spiney Norman." I even got some MINI Indy Blue to paint it to match my MINI.

I have never been one to name vehicles. I love my vehicles for sure, but I never named them. Right now since I finished my upgrades, I'm hoping to call my bike "faster than my uncle's VF750C." :)

well i used to call my bike the critter, but after spending copius amounts of money on parts from all over the world i have decided to change her name to "UN" (united nations).

The bike is from japan (duh) originaly, landed in australia as an import,
    then the fun began.
near new tank, grips, bar ends, tankvents, exhaust and tail piece from the US.
    gauges from Canada.
clip ons and mud guard extender from England.
    case savers from Italy.
    oil cooler grill from Germany.
    mirrors from Thailand.
and thats just the cosmetics for the girl, next will be the engine rebuild and makeover to turn her into a real head turner with a full dress of the motor and drive train, so far i am looking at parts from all of the above countries as well as a few other european countries and others to achive my goals. don't stress to much i will be posting pics as soon as i learn how to scale them down to suit this site. catch you all later. cheers greg

Some of my friends have named it "The Krylon Kruiser" after my excessive use of Krylon paint on it (I recently painted my Mustang with Krylon too, so its sort of a theme of mine :D)

It's also been called the Yamabobber once or twice lol
