I am rebuilding both front brake calipers, the MC and installing new SS braided brake lines. My dilemma is whether to choose the OEM semi-metallic pads or switch to the standard organic ones. If there’s a better choice I am open to that discussion. Are the semi metallics going to “chew up” the rotor/brake disc?

OEM are almost always the best compromise when it comes to brake pads. The sintered content make sure you have good stopping power also in the wet. If you want an alternative, EBC probably make the best all-round pads outside OEM. SBS if you plan on racing.

I agree--OEM pads. The engineers that designed these bikes knew what they were doing.
