Looking for a bit of advice. Resurrecting an 81 Seca 550. Signal lights are throwing me for a bit of a loop. Both left flashers operate properly. When I try the right both signals light but do not flash. They are nice and bright so I do not think it is a ground. The relay apparently works. Anyone having thoughts where to look? Thanks for any help.

Not sure if you posted elsewhere about this, but have you replaced the fuse box? The stock one is notorious for causing voltage problems. The newer blade-style fuse boxes have immediate benefits! (I speak from having done it myself)

It is still the original fuse box. It is the only electrical issue I am having (so far). Taillights and brake lights all work, horns work, voltage meter, as does the starter button. It is a project bike so I have not tried running it yet so whether the headlight (dash lights) works I do not know. It seems odd that everything else works, signal lights all light, but the right side will not flash.

If both bulbs are lighting up but not flashing, I would suspect one or both are the wrong wattage (too low) or was replaced with an LED bulb. The stock flasher system needs the correct wattage bulbs to work properly.

Pull them out and see if you can read the wattage rating. Swap with the left bulbs and see if the issue follows the bulb. There is only one flasher unit, the switch just connects one side or the other electronically to the flasher circuit.

Signal issue is fixed. Thank you all for your input. Actually was a combination of issues. At first glance the right front signal looked correct but when I removed it I found it was slightly different than the originals. It was just a bit larger and more rounded - no idea what it is actually off. Surprisingly it did fit on the original stem. Also found an incorrect bulb (cross referenced to an 1156 but it was using an 1157) and some PO had done some "wiring" inside the stem that was not visible. Replaced the unit and installed the correct bulb and we are good to go. Good advice Jayrodoh!
