Does anyone know if a maxim 750 motor would fit on a vstar 650 frame? Just got back on my XJ after it not running for a year or so and it's so much peppier than my vstar, lol.

I think you are comparing two different riding styles... I have two styles of bikes that I keep in my stable. I have a few Vtwins and the rest are inline 4 bikes. The frames of the bike are just made for different types of riding (IMHO) Most vtwins are for easy long rides and that should be what you are looking for.

If you want to have a vtwin and more of a sporty bike you can look at SV650/1000, DL650/1000, BMW, KTM super Duke..OMG!

Bottom line, unless you just want something for a project, I would not try to swap those two engines around at all. If you do, make a new thread and let us know how it goes.

Anything is possible……just depends on how much money it would take.

the 750 Maxim engine is an inline 4
    The v-star engine is a V twin.

    mounting is completely different.
