    Hello
My name is jean i'am from France so sorry about my english who is not perfect. I have 26. My father buy an XJ900 from 1991 when I was young and I am in love with this bike. He died in 2014 so I have taken back his motorcycle and restore it: carburettor painting etc etc. I do everything I can to take care of this amazing bike.
My second bike is an other XJ900 of 1983 which I have put many modification on it: Front fork of an R6 Bike custom dash board and custom body with an 125 RDX gas tank. The exaust is also an custom one with the mufflers behind the seat. Minimum elctrical circuit. The free wheel is gone so I start the engine with stroller.
Actually the bike is completely dissassembled for painting of the frame and cleanning of the engine.
I search information to have more power on the engine. I think in a first step new coil. Maybe I can put off the alternator and the free wheel?
I want an 0.5 ratio. For now the bike weight is 213 kg with the gazoline.
The last step is an new frame made by the man who help me a lot about the exaust.
I have picture but I can put in?
    Thank guys :)

Sorry to hear about your father at your young age.

I could write French as well as you write English, I'd be happy :)
when you write "Free wheel" is the Starter? (see attached photo)

    Welcome to the forum!
I think you have to have 5 posts before the forum will allow you to post photos.

try, I write the entire configuration later if this pic works.
    It's seems to work
It is not the starter who doesn't work but the free wheel in the engine.
The bike is build for the track and hill climb
So from the fork to the exaust:
Front fork of an R6 with an PR19 master cylinder brake
Fork head of an Z1000J (not in place there)
Carbon dashboard with voltmetre, rev counter and stowatch
gastank of an 125 RDX with an Quarter turn hatch and restom kit inside
Minimum electrical circuit with CDI relay an dead man device and that all
    Custom seat
selector switch of an 900 Divy in reversed position.
Crankcase guard in carbon fiber and kevlar
back ward control of an CB500 (I ride with this in all day life) with an rear master cylinder of this bike
    Rear brake calliper:Xj
Rear shock:shock factory (not in place there
Marving exaust modified with an Leovince muffler
    Rear wheel of an divy
And I think that all for now

    And finally my stock XJ
I precise that the bike I use for my project was completely out.I save only the engine who seem to have 'custom camshaft' and the rear brake callipers
The carburettor are stock with an internal KN air filter on the track bike.
The stock XJ have only rear shock factory and aviation hose.

Bonjour Jean, beanvenue (is that correct for welcome?)
free-wheel, I think this is the starter clutch? It's an engine out split the cases job. Can you not stick a turbo on that hillclimber?

    Bienvenue ;)
I don't want turbo. It's too difficult to built and this bike maybe fall on the track.
In an ideal worlds I want 105cv max. nothing more. But I want a minimum weight.
The frame is simply varnished with 2K
The engine is only clean and the top of the engine have got vermicular paint. I change 4 lozenges.
At the end of the month maybe I put the engine in the frame.
I have got video with the sound of the engine but i can put in?
