Welcome to the forum Rick d.

A little back ground on the bike. You have owned the bike for a while and this just happened, or is this a new project?

How is the battery? The spark on these bikes needs to have a fully charge really good battery to make sure you will get spark from the TCI or ECU. Coil wires can be cleaned and if you have not taken the spark plug boots off the wires and cleaned them do so. Making sure you have good contact from the boots to the coil wires is important and may have caused this.

Just guessing but I have never had two coils go out at one time. Coils do go bad but most of the time it is when the bike is supper hot and then the wire inside the coil opens up and goes dead. This is compounded by the issues when the coil then cools down and you get a good test reading and it works again....until it heats up and the wire opens again.

Are you still running a old OEM fuse box? If so, look it over and make sure none of the copper fuse holders are broken. Do a good once over of all the connectors too as they need to be inspected and cleaned of any wire or green power you might find on those contacts.

You can check out YouTube for how to test a motorcycle coil or maybe find a good right up on this forum.

    Good luck.

I have on the bike for about six months now when I got it and it was running a bit rich I took it to a guy for him to adjust the carbs he drove it approximately 20 minutes from where I live to drop it off I took it out it ran fine and I brought it into my garage and the next day no spark know anything I bought a brand new gel battery for it it is fully charged I tested the coil I have 2.7 or 2.8 at the wire connections I’m not sure if I’m doing it right at the spark plug wire connections I have the negative and positive in the wires but my metre is not reading anything and I got it set for 2K I’m going to test the I guess you would say bake a light plug covers today and see what they’re doing with my metre other than that I’m not sure what else to do thank you

The ignition coil secondary resistance is around 11K, and if you still have the spark plug caps on that can add another 10K. So, the meter should be set to cover at least 25K, or on most meters that means the 200K range is selected. If the plug caps are off and you are looking for the 11K then the 20K range will work well, but the 200K will still give you the needed accuracy

The fuse box was a great suggestion and you can add the ignition safety circuit as a possibility also - the latter can be temporarily defeated by removing the side stand relay or by unplugging the B/W wire bullet connector near the TCI

Unthread the plug cap snip off a bit of the plug wire and thread it back onto the plug wire. I run Honda CB 750 coils these have replaceable plug wires . Cycle Recycle part 2 has these coils new they also have the wires and caps , these mount like the stock coils .
