Rpm for balance

    Going to balance carbs, really the cylinders, I have always done this just above idle around 1500. Considering doing it around 3000 rpm. Thoughts?
    Use two bottles do 1 and 2 then 3 and 4 then 2and3.

    You want the rpm’s low/at idle, the more the throttle plates are open the less effect of balancing comes into play.

    I had read somewhere that around 3000 rpm more closely mimicked where you used the bike. May try both this winter. Did valve adjustment last winter then balanced around 1500 ran nice last season.

    You may have read that, but it's incorrect.
    Once the carbs are vacuum balanced at idle they are balanced throughout the entire range, barring any mechanical or physical defect with the carbs.
