    Howdy Y'all!

I have been encountering an issue with my '82 Xj750 Maxim that I've been fighting with off and on for several months. For some reason, cylinders 2 and 3 are not firing with as much strength as 1 and 4. I checked the coils and they are both good, the compression all seems to be in order, the valves are all within specs, the wiring seems in order, and the plugs are all good. Could this be an issue with the CDI box? Any advice from y'all on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, could be the TCI box. I had a similar issue where all the sudden I had a two cylinder bike.

The tricky part is getting one to test with…

Thanks for the response! Yeah that's pretty much what's happening to mine. If you don't mind my asking, how did you end up fixing the issue?

I forgot to mention it in the original post, but I did switch them over and the coil was fine.
