Floppy TCI mount

    1982 XJ750 Maxim. Mounting little bits and pieces back on. Attached the TCI/regulator plastic plate and there's just one screw at the bottom and the ears at the top that grab the frame, but really aren't grabbing tightly. The whole thing moves and seems to put a lot of stress on that one lower mount point.

    Am I missing something here? More bracketry? Are the plastic ears supposed to be "snap on" tight? (they aren't)

    It does not mount real tight. The lower screw has to go through the chain holder but it does not look like you still have it in photo .

    You could use cable ties if you want to stop it moving.

    Is the chain holder is the long skinny plastic box? I actually have one in the box of miscellaneous parts that came with the bike and didn't know for sure what it was or how it mounted, so that helps also.

    Cable ties or foam tape it looks like it will be then. Thanks guys.
