Hi, I've only been on the site for a week, but I've been reading all the great stuff posted. I'm still trying to get the hang of how to use it. I recently bought an 81 Maxim 650 and 81 Seca 750. I'd like to order the CD, so I can learn how to work on them. I sent an email a few days ago to a person in VT who I thought handled the sales, but I didn't get a response. Is somebody else handling the sales or am I just being too impatient?

    Thanks,
    Jim

Good choice on the 650! I personally prefer the 650 Seca, but a Maxim will do. I would comment on the 750, but having never owned one, nor known anyone who did, I can't say. I can say, though, that you really can't go wrong with an 80s XJ.

I agree with you re: the Seca. My wife prefers the Maxim (in fact she dislikes the look of the Seca), but she's only concerned with the "look". In fact, she wants a more stepped seat on it. I've been riding for 30 years and to me the Seca says, "Hop on and lets put some mileage on!" I can tell looking at it that it's going to be more comfortable after several hour on the highway.

So, do you know anything about ordering the CD? Neither of my XJ's is running at the moment and I really want to get working on them.

Go to XJ CHAT and on the top of the page under STICKY is a 3 page topic on how to get the XJCD. Good luck and welcome.
