XJ550 Maxim front sprocket

    Replacing the sprockets and chain on my 1982 XJ550 maxim. My front sprocket is held on with just an e-clip. All the secas I’ve seen have shown something that actually bolts on. Is the Maxim different or am I missing something?

    That's not correct and not safe. It needs a different retainer plate and two bolts . Check a parts list online for picture. Then order one from Len at xj 4ever.
