Is anyone plannig to go to Myrtle Beach Bike Week? I live about an hour from there and am wondering if there will be a get together, provided anyone else will be going.

I might be headed to Spartanburg to visit family sometime around then. It might be fun to stop by. I went to Ocean City, MD bike week a few years ago (without my bike) and it was noisy but fun. It would be nice to see another Seca rider though. Believe it or not, I've never seen another XJ650R on the road other than mine. I've seen loads of Maxims and some Seca II's but never another one like me. :(

If you come this way definately stop by! PM and I'll give you my phone number and address.
As far a Seca rarity goes, I know of one Maxim and possible a second (I plan to see if its for sale) and my one and only Seca. I always likes the Seca look, but apparently I was in the minority when it came to buyers, aas the Seca never sold as well as the Maxim, and I don't think any of the Yamahas sold as well as the Honda fours.

I should be working our Christian Motorcyclists Assoc. tent at the Harley shop on Kings Hwy sometime between May 9th and the 18th. Not sure yet just when I'll be there.

    Hey Golikehell.

I'm only about 20 miles from ya.

Maybe you would like to head over to Sonic drive-in on Hwy 176 in Goose Creek for our CMA Thursday night fellowship rides. We meet about 6:15 to 6:30pm and leave for a ride to a restaurant (20-50 miles) at 7pm.

Don't know if I will ride the Maxim up to MBBW this spring. My daughter wants to ride the Rebel 250 (she's 19 with only a bike permit yet) so we'll see how that goes. I hope to work her up to the Maxim after she takes the MSF course.

I offered to let her ride the 883R to MBBW, but she complained that it would be too slow. Ha!

Did you ever sell the 650 you painted in the HD scheme las year? What are you riding now?

Oh well, gonna have to sit out bike week this go 'round.

I had really successful spinal fusion surgery last year to remove a worn out disc and get rid of chronic pain. Praise God, the pain is all gone now.

I am experiencing numbness in my left leg. So, I was planning to have follow up to take out the bolts on May 22nd, but that got moved up to May 9th. Should lay me up for only a week this time.

Hope to be back riding a few weeks after that.

Y'all have a great time in Myrtle Beach!

    Rusty
