Cannot seem to find "forkpole mounted" windshields on the net. Options are limited by the shape of the handlebars. I have seen windshields on bikes with forkpole mounting hardware out there. Any suggestions??

I have a Memphis Shades Hellcat and love it. it is a handlebar mount and allows almost unlimited adjustments. It's small, looks good, and works really well. I have the same windshield on my Honda Rebel. I have a Memphis Shades Fats, which is fork mounted, on my Honda 750, and although it is larger, it doesn't really work any better, probably because there are no adjustments.

The 82 Maxims had the multi-piece "square" aluminum handlebars that typical bar mounted windshields wont work with. 31ieSzYDrEL._AC_UF894,1000_QL80_.jpg

I recently acquired an '82 750 Maxim that wears a small shield. The webbing on the uprights of the handlebars had been drilled to accept the windshield mounts.
I have used the National Cycle F15 windshield on several bikes with good effect. They mount to the side of the headlight. I will try to get pics tomorrow.

Thank you. I have the 7" Round headlight, if that makes a difference. A robust, well engineered one is what I'm looking for.

Thanks but my handlebars are not round. They have a rectangular cross section.

That does present a problem. I don't like the idea of drilling the handlebars because it might weaken them too much.

A good machine shop could make some, but it would probably be expensive. Take a look at this to get an idea how to make them.

The bike with the F15 screen is not available to have it's picture taken, sorry.
The. National Cycle square bar mounts do look the business.

oh yeah. I have been looking at headlight bracket mounting windshields. Does anyone have experience with these? My '82 XJ750 Maxim has a 7" round headlight. The mounting brackets are very strong. I still have reservations about this set up.

I see the existing hole in the bars appears to be used, which appeals to me. Any Idea who makes the hardware or is this something I should fabricate on my own? Or modify provided hardware? I also really like the National Cycle square mounts. I measured the cross section of the bars and they seem right on the money for dimensions. I truly might just go with those brackets. Thanks.
