If anyone is curious, I used Klean Strip Premium Stripper. (I used about 500ml, or a little over half a quart)

Rough the surface by hand with 80-100 grit, stipple the stripper on so thick that it starts running. And let it sit for 1-2 hours.

Then scrap with a putty knife, and scrub with a steel brush, then wash in soapy water, and rinse with hot water.

Any trouble spots may need a second pass.

Nice job! Is this a personal project or an ad?

    Personal project.

I find others experience invaluable, so I figure if I share mine, it may help someone else. I try to include as much relevant information as I can to reduce questions and just make it easier for others. I even share my failures too. lol

I just finished blasting a bunch of parts with baking soda, and Holy smokes, I swear it is smoother than silk. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to sand with 600 to put a little tooth back for primer.

    That looks really good.

Is the glass beading going to put a texture onto it or just strip more remnants off?

I have a tank I'm about to do (not an XJ) that was custom painted and I believe they used Bondo to cover up the mounting bar for the "Yamaha" emblem.
Curious if pain strippers like this attack the bondo or not.

It left what felt like about a 320.

Then once I blasted with baking soda, it made it too smooth. I'll have to sand with 600 to give it some tooth for the primer.
