    Found a cheep 84 for winter project cost way too much to restore its in shambles.....luv the 750 gunna spend some money at cognito Moto....still would like to hear options/opinions

    IMHO these do not make good scrambler projects - you'll neen a new binnacle, headlight, tank, seat, and the tail and shaft drive will stick out like a sore thumb...
    Why not make it into a naked front, new headlight and clocks from a 650 or modern new custom kits all you need?

    Yeah those are the best looking XJ IMO. I like those wheels too. Tank looks decent, easy to pull out that big dent.

    bring it to me and I’ll GIVE you a 750 Maxim instead, or even a 650rj!

    and since he hasn’t been seen in almost 4 yrs, you’re probably right.
