    Hi legends,

Just finished up giving the motor in my SECA a quick freshen up:
    - rings
    - starter clutch
    - primary chain + guide
    - oil nozzle

I now have very low compression (60psi) and can only get it to pop and bang. I am questioning the cam timing. As per the Haynes manual I currently have the dots on the cams lined up with their corresponding marks with the stationary pointer pointing at the timing mark "C".

Is this correct or should it be pointing to "T"?

    Thanks!

There are two dots on both cam sprockets and an arrow inditation , I had similar problem with one of my engines , it skipped timing due to moving engine over with tensioner out, could not get it rotate 360 degrees over . I realigned marks with dot down slightly , they aligned when I put tensioner back in . As this is my spare engine , I have not done a leak down test I might have bent a valve not sure . It is arctic out now so this is a spring project.

Okay so I have gotten this sorted - no thanks to the Haynes manual I have!! On the timing wheel there is mark "C" and mark "T".

Engine must be timed, aligning the cams to their marks with the fixed pointer on position "T".
