CNYCC#17 - June 8, 2024

For those who like to plan ahead, and as a reminder for those who were here for CNYCC#16, the date to reserve is June 8, 2024. For those who come early and stay longer, that’s the weekend to reserve.

Ok, CNYCC#17 is only about 3 months away!(holy moly, it’s still snowy and 20 degrees here).

I’m going to unlock this forum so we can start finalizing plans!!

Dave has unlocked the CNYCC thread so it must be almost Spring! I really want to be there but too early to positively plan on it, so absolutely, positively, probably, definitely, maybe.

 

It is on my calendar.

 

I've not been to one of these before, there's a good chance I'll be up that way this summer. Where is it being held?

Everything is coming along nicely—lawn is shaping up. Just gotta brush a little snow out of the way.

 

@hogfiddles Where is the snowmobile? Make the most of it.

Dave has been known to swap gas back and forth between snowmobiles and motorcycles, depending on the amount of snow. Also known to snowmobile in the morning and mow the lawn in the afternoon.
His pic is also a large part of the reason I winter in NC. I rode to the Sunday morning coffee meet up, again, yesterday.
Sorry Dave, just had to rub that in.....

 

Hi Dave. Do you know if there's a carb clinic in Central Florida or the Daytona Beach area. I would like to come up for your clinic but not able to. I have an 83 XJ750K and I think the carbs are killing my bike. Exhaust pipes 1 and 4 don't heat up when the bike is cold and first started but over time and higher revs they get hot. I know the church of clean is out there but not sure of breaking the carbs apart and off the rail but I have rebuilt them twice before. So nope I have not taken them to church. Any advice.

Yes it is now it’s time to start letting me know who is planning on attending, and what kind of things you may need done… So I can start planning and matching up skills with jobs, so we can be as efficient as possible.

Hopefully we don’t have Canadian wildfire smoke to contend with this year… L O L

 

I'll be there Friday afternoon and stay down in Norwich for two nights. I'll bring my supplies for the oil change. No other plans. Maybe we can get Saftie out for the event this year... though I know for a fact that he's "bike-less" currently.

 

I haven’t heard from him since pre-Covid

 

I'm planning being there, hopefully with a Maxim 750. Not sure if it will be a rider or trailered there. It is coming out of years of hibernation.

But the Most Awesome Wife's work commitment interfered with the schedule so I won't be there after all. I am bummed, phooey! Have a great time guys. Hopefully not stupid hot and no thunderstorms.

 

Food supplies were picked up yesterday
Loading ice and sodas into the coolers this morning
Getting the tools out shortly
Signs going up later today
And the blue tube man will get ready too

some campers are expecting to arrive through out the day—I’ll put them to work, then we can talk bikes and bull$#!+ the rest of the time......
