I have an '82 XJ750 Seca that, with much help from previous posts in this forum, have helped me get this bike back up and running. (Carb cleaning and syncing) Now that I have her running, I now have a new issue to deal with. I just replaced the battery since I wore it out trying to start so much while syncing. ( I may have left the key ON... maybe) Now when I push the start button, it may or may not start. Eventually it does. When I turn on the turn indicators, I get the ATARI warning light and LCD scroll and BATT indicator light until I turn the turn signal OFF. Also, when applying brakes coming to a stop, the turn signal indicators on the ATARI start to light up. None of this was happening before I got the new battery. The only change made was that the battery sensor was in the far left side of the last battery and I put it in the 3rd hole as indicated on the inside of the side panel cover. Any ideas?

PS If you have ever submitted anything dealing with carb syncing, I thank you for your information.

This is great. My first post and I figured out my own issue. Thanks to all the other posts on troubleshooting. I started going through all electrical connections and cleaning them. By doing that I found a loose ground at the ignition coil mounting. Once tightened, all of my issues disappeared.

Check your electrical connection for ground at the ignition coil mounting :)

    LOL, great job!
