Rear break pedal assembly 1985 maxim700

Hi,
I’m replacing my rear brake pedal and for the life of me I cannot see where the spring attaches to the frame that allows the pedal to come back into its resting position. After its pressed down. There are two springs there’s one smaller skinnier spring And then there’s the fatter spring. I cannot find where the fatter spring attaches to the frame at all from the brake pedal. Can anyone help?

 

Don't know if this helps at all because it's hard to photograph, and don't know how different the bikes are, but this is my 750 Seca. Thin spring goes up to the brake light switch. Thick spring goes up to a stay on the frame.

 

Disregard my pic. Looks like the springs are set up completely different on your bike - pulling the rear of the pedal down, instead of the main body up:

Hopefully someone else can help more as the diagram is pretty vague.
