There are no issues with this machine , Alot has been done and upgraded or rebuilt , took out and rode yesterday ,runs very smooth, of course, gladly answer any and all questions.     The bike builder's name is actually JON (not John) Fife.......................

    Thank you Len. Bikeexif.com has an article on this bike as well.
    As swoopy & great looking as the Turbo fairing is I didn't find it to be as effective, efficient, as it looks like it should be when I had a Turbo.
    That said I would love to have this bike!

    Jon Fife is the guy who figured out a way to add the 650 turbo fairing to the 900. He did a couple of of them. You can search for ‘xj900 prototype SST’, ‘Prototype900turbo’, etc...... his build site is gone, but you can still dredge up the info.
    It’s a AWESOME build, and I would LOVE TO do one for myself. If tried contacting home numerous times, but I haven’t been able to talk with him any farther than getting his info for the 900rk registry.
    Still hoping, though......
