Xj750 maxim non starting issue

Hello. My name is Jaytin. I have just purchased a 82 XJ750 and the first day it ran good. Second day ignition fuse blew and the connector broke. Now. It has an issue where sometimes it’ll start and other times only the silinoid clicks. at first I thought maybe dying battery then I thought silinoid then the starter now I’m stumped. but Have checked all power and all was good (see bottom) and have hooked the starter up to jumpers (spun like crazy) now am I to believe the problem lies between the starter silinoid and the starter or am I wrong. Any thoughts? Battery tested 12.2 when key was out. Positive of starter silinoid 11.9 neg of starter silinoid 12.2 thank you anyone who helps

I can tell you that on the 2 xj650's i have owned, I had to both clean the start button contacts as well as replace the starter solenoid (which is cheap)

 

Thank you. I try but when I click the starter button b the silinoid clicks (gets power) so I’m not sure it’s those but will give it a try if I can figure it out lol
