I have an 83 xj750 with a full fairing from the factory. I tried the yamaha dealers and they tell me that yamaha never made fairings for the bike. Which is funny because it has yamaha emblazoned on it everywhere and takes yamaha keys to open the locks on it. But back to the point, I am missing some parts from mine. There are two 1156 bulbs around the headlight that should have lenses and mine are missing, as well as the glass that covers the lenses and the headlight. Also the panel that holds the radio and speakers on mine is broken on both sides so it won't hold screws anymore. Does anyone have any experience with these fairings, and if so where can I find parts. I have been looking for a couple years and have only actually seen pictures of one other xj with the full fairing. And, no one knows where to get parts for it.

No suprise that they don't know anything, it's more than 5 years old. Bike shops make money dealing with the newest toy on the block, not the 20+ year veteran. I found a material that is supposed to be used for just such a repair at POR 15 dot com. They have a two part epoxy that should do the trick. Another source would be http://www.eastwoodco.com/ . They are about cars but the materials and toys are useful. Good luck on your dash.

Got any pics of your fairing?

Fairings were quite common over here for 750's as they were used as ploice bikes. Set up by Yamaha Australia.

Just wondering if you've somehow managed to get an ex aus bike.

    Cheers

I have seen a few seca's with fairings on them but they are not too popular. Good luck with your search for parts.

My 82 Seca 750 has a stock Yamaha fairing.
I need to replace the windshield.
There was a company in Colorado that made replacement windshields for
    those.
When I find it, Ill post to the list.

When they tell you Yamaha didnt make a fairing for the Seca 750, they are right, they had an outside vendor make them, and then Yamaha added them to the bike.

Please DO post the windshield info when you find it. I have a Yamaha fairing on my 81 750 Seca and the windshield is missing completely. I'd like to see where I can get a replacement for it, but I've had no luck so far.
