    Well funny story.

Last night I geared up and was beginning my ride out to my girlfriend's apartment some 60 miles away. I was in a good mood and driving a bit spiritedly as I normally do, when almost immediately after making a right turn and driving along I see the flashing red and blue lights of Rancho Cucamonga's sheriff's department. I pulled over and put the beast to sleep as the noise from leather boots behind me grew louder. (dramatic effect, I couldn't hear anything outside my helmet) I instantly thought to myself, "Damn you yamaha! who the hell thought YELLOW gauges with a YELLOW backlight, lighting a small YELLOW needle was going to be easily visible at night!"

Well he came up to me and told me I was going sixty in a fifty and that he had actually been following me for about a quarter mile with his lights on. I told him I didn't see him at all and preceded to tell him about my virginity with bikes in general. He talked to me about how important it is to take it easy if I want to live a long seasoned riding life. I completely agree too, just those damn gauges can be hard to see!

Best Part: He took a step back and examined my bike and as I saw what looked like a tiny grin cross his face, and hope began to rise, he asked me for all my information and told me he'd be back. Mr. Boots sternly walked back to his cruiser. "Damn!" I thought to myself. There is no way I can afford a ticket! I just started riding! So he comes back with pad in hand, gives me all my information and looks me dead in the eye and says, "If you want to live till the age of 21, take it easy. Those bikes always want to ride and always want to push it, but don't let her get in your head too much, you're the one in control." He said he was letting me off with a warning and I asked him why. (stupid of me?) He said" I've got an 84' maxim 650 and love it to death, I couldn't just give her big sister a ticket without a warning first., have a good night."

    :D Awesome

    You packin' a heater when you're on-the-road?

Unfortunately, it isn't that interesting. It is my plain old leather glove!

I have always liked that picture of my bike, but everyone here has found my sheepskin, and now my glove more interesting. LOL

You can't carry a handgun in Canada, concealed or not.

(Well, only if you are a criminal, of course)

I live in Alberta, Canada, and despite my love of breasts, would prefer to bare arms as well. Also, on a side note, I just bought a replacement sheepskin today, new pair of .45 cal gloves on the way soon! See ya on the road!

Great story but please remeber what he said. I work as an ER nurse here in South Dakota and work for 2 weeks every year in August at the ER in Rapid City SD for the great Stugis Rally. Lest year we saw 4 fatalities because people let there bikes ride them instead of the other way around. Most of the cases we see are either young or stupid and sometimes both.
    Be safe.

Sanchez, glad the law was more concerned with your well being than hammering you. Take his advice, he's right. Hope this gives you some appreciation for the nice folks who are out there every day dealing with the nutjobs and dingbats, myself included. You ought to remember that every idiot in a box is out there trying to find some means of offing you. Slowing down gives you more time to react should that nutjob fufill his place in the food chain (pitty there isn't more clorine in the gene pool...).
Go safely my fellow rider, I hope we see/hear more good news from you in the future.
