So i bought new plugs got good gas... I turn the bike over and it will run than die with just the choke and a little throttle. After that it won't start unless i let it sit for an hour.

I bought some starter fluid and sprayed that into the air box.... vroom away she goes... as soon as i stop the starter fluid... she sputters out.

If i get her started with the starter fluid and get her going and than give it alot of gas with the throttle she will run for a bit... but rough.

I am guessing it is a carb/ fuel problem.

    Any advice?

Remove and clean the carbs. There's really no alternative if it's as bad as you tell. RickCoMatic has a great tutorial on going through the carbs: Clean Your Own Carb's - The Whole 9 Yards. Oh, and before you put them back on, you'll want to bench synch them.

i'm with gamuru on that one... just make sure you take your time when you do it... i've probably pulled my carbs on and off 4 times in the last 2 weeks... its becoming alot less fun.

    Major carb cleaning time...
Enrichment port need a lot of attention by the sound of it.
Spend a lot of time on the holes for the enrichment circuit in the carb bowl body, clogs easily and can be a pain to get clear

Follow Rick's carb cleaning gude, and you should be good to go.

would you suggest that I buy a carb kit for each carb and if so where do you get them?

    Thanks

If your gaskets weren't leaking, and peel off without breaking, and, if the carbs weren't flooding, then save the $80 for something else.
Re-use everything. Needles, seats, bowl gaskets, floats.
yes, and take your time and double check flow thru ports & passages.
