Air jet cover plate missing!

    Hey guys I just pick up a 85 XJ700N. The bike ran... Not well but ran when I bought it. I have the carbs apart and cleaned and have been watching vids on these carbs and I noticed a plate that goes over the air jets under the slide diaphragm. I don't have them!
    The carbs have been apart as all the screws are messed up so I'm guessing someone forgot to reinstall them? I don't see the plate on exploded view pics so I'm guessing I can't buy them?

    What if any problem will this cause?

    Not all bikes came with those air jet covers. If they are missing (if they ever existed) it is not considered a problem.
