    Hello,
I have searched the forum as best I can and haven't found anything on this.

I have an 82 650 maxim (US import, I'm in the UK) that needs new fuel mixture screws after it was stolen and damaged.
The carbs are unbranded, or so my mechanic says, and we're having trouble getting info on them. Yamaha hasn't been able help either. Has anyone come across this and know what I need to order and where to source these screws? BTW my mechanic said they are not mikunis.

Thanks to anyone who reads this.

I don't know much about carbs, but they look almost exactly like the Hitachi's on my XJ700. No markings designating the Hitachi model anywhere?

Those appear to be the correct Hitachi carbs. You won't find the "Hitachi" name or numbers anywhere on them, and that is how they came originally.

Just to confirm what you are trying to replace, is it these screws? What is damaged that you need to replace them?

Yes exactly those screws, Len from Xj4ever has also confirmed they are Hitachis, I think my mechanic is trying to source a carb kit now. Thanks for the replies!
