Just picked up an'83 XJ900 Seca to keep my '83 XJ750 Seca that I bought 13 years ago company. The last thing I needed was another project, but it was too good a deal to pass up and in all the time I've had my 750, I've never seen another 900 for sale in these parts.

She's in desperate need of carb work (barely starts and won't idle or run without choke), and I found out in another thread that somebody mounted the electrical box under the seat sideways. How the...??

I'm assuming brakes will be in order, though they don't seem as bad as the 750 was when I bought it. Fluid change and lines for sure. Haven't had time to go through it in detail yet, beside the electrical foobar it doesn't seem like it's had too many ham-fisted repairs over the years. Has less than 24K miles on it and looks pretty sharp of you look past the peeling clear coat on the engine covers.

I'm down in Castle Rock if anybody else is in the area.

(Unfortunately, I neglected to take any decent beauty shots before squeezing it into the back of the garage so I could put the car away)

One of them at least. Missing the right side. I'm going to try my hand at 3D printing a replacement.

Other people on here have done some 3D printing, side panels for example.
