2nd newest I've ever seen...... the new seat was a still in the crate” xj650 maxim on eBay a couple or so years back. Iirc, that went for somewhere around $5500, but I don’t recall if I save a pic of the ending. I DID save all the pics from the listing, though.

 

And ANOTHER $5400.00 because it doesn’t have the optional tall backrest/sports rack/brackets, or engine guards options

 

OMG, is the price of a same yr HD....lol It is very clean but unless a collector or museum wants one, not seeing that selling. It will have to be a very special person to pick that up.

Yamaha bags are still great paint
The only full touring XJ I’ve seen near me was a 750 Maxim. And I’ve seen 82 Viragos set up with the same bags or very similar.

 

That touring Seca is a nice deal. I had one of those that I rehabbed and traded for a Turbo 650. That fairing is swoopy looking but not as effective as one would expect, or hope. With those bags it was the hardest bike I have ever had to get on the center stand. I could not get the lift/roll/pull/push down sequence right.

Circle Pines/Lino Lakes, just north of Minneapolis, that one was listed on Craigslist for $800 not long ago and I was going to go after it but never got back to me.

 

If anyone lives around the "Babbit MN" area, there are two XJ1100 for sale on FB. Way to look of drive for me, but no reason one of the forum members can't take them home. $300 each or $600 for both.
